ग्रेटर फरीदाबाद क्षेत्र में बिजली आपूर्ति को बेहतर बनाने के लिए 5 नए 33 केवी पावर सब-स्टेशन बनाए जा रहे हैं। बिजली विभाग के अधिकारियों के अनुसार, इन सब-स्टेशनों के बनने से इलाके में लोड कम होगा और बिजली की सप्लाई अधिक स्थिर व बिना रुकावट के मिलेगी। ये नए सब-स्टेशन मुख्य रूप से उन क्षेत्रों में बनाए जा रहे हैं जहाँ विकास तेजी से हो रहा है, जैसे नेहरपार, बीपीटीपी एरिया और सेक्टर 75 से 89 तक के इलाके।
अधिकारियों का कहना है कि नए सब-स्टेशनों के बनने से घरों, स्कूलों और उद्योगों को नियमित बिजली आपूर्ति मिलेगी, जिससे वोल्टेज में उतार-चढ़ाव और बार-बार बिजली जाने की समस्या में कमी आएगी। इस परियोजना के लिए स्थान तय किए जा चुके हैं और निर्माण कार्य जल्द ही शुरू होने वाला है।
फरीदाबाद के लोगों को उम्मीद है कि इस परियोजना के पूरा होने के बाद उन्हें हर मौसम में बेहतर बिजली सुविधा मिलेगी, खासकर गर्मियों के दौरान जब बिजली की मांग सबसे अधिक होती है।
